The X-Files Season One DVD Six-Born Again

Season One DVD Six

Born Again

A little girl is found by a police officer in an alley outside the police precinct.

She takes the little girl in to see if they can find out who she is. She leaves the girl with another officer and leaves to go home.

Moments later, Detective Barbala flies though a window to the ground several stories below.

He does not survive the fall.

Michelle Bishop’s mother (Michelle is the little girl) has no idea how she got there.

They live quite a distance from the police precinct. She claims there was another man in the room. The policewoman who found the girl has asked Mulder and Scully to help.

The girl’s description of the other man in the room fits a police officer that died from a gang attack in Chinatown.

Mulder and Scully are trying to find the connection between the dead police officers.

Another, former officer, meets a bizarre death involving a bus.

The girl is again nearby. Yet, there is no physical evidence that she did anything. Mulder thinks she may be the reincarnation of an officer that was supposed to have been killed in Chinatown.

Scully discovers that this officer did not die from being beaten.

He drowned and was then beaten to hide it. It also appears only his head was underwater. They also find a link between this officer and the other two.

The last person involved with the drowned officer had married the dead officer's widow.

Mulder and Scully race to stop a final death.

The different odd deaths (especially with the bus) the men die in the episode while the girl is near is what is most intersting in this episode of the X-Files.

The X-Files Season One DVD Six - Tooms

The X-Files

Season One DVD Six

Tooms

This is a continuation from the X-Files episode Squeeze. Although this episode is great all on its own, you may want to watch Squeeze first.

Tooms is about to be released from the sanitarium.

His doctor feels he is ready to rejoin the outside world. Other doctors who have interviewed him feel the same way and all make excuses for his attack on Scully (he was misunderstood). This is way too realistic.

Mulder goes to the meeting to try and convince them Tooms is too dangerous to be let loose.

Unfortunately, the truth as Mulder tells it, is far too weird for the court to believe. They decide to release Tooms.

Mulder knows Tooms will kill again.

Then, Tooms will disappear for thirty years again. Mulder is determined to stop him.

Mulder manages to stop Tooms from one or two attempts by following Tooms and interfering.

Tooms manages to frame Mulder for beating him. Tooms had entered Mulder’s apartment (using Tooms’ own method). He used Mulder’s shoe to place a footprint on his own face.

A.D. Skinner tells Mulder to stay away from Tooms.

Mulder and Scully manage to get proof that Tooms had committed a murder thirty years earlier. They are too late. Tooms has killed his own doctor.

Can they find Tooms before he disappears?

I'm not going to spoil this if you haven't watched it.

I know I have never looked at an escalator the same since.

What kind of effect has the X-Files had on you?

More X-Files Soon on the X-Files Guide

Within a week or two I will start posting episodes more regularly.

I am sorry for the delay.

I have many weeks worth of posts that are already written. I just need to have to see if I can edit them a bit before posting them.

I have made some changes to the site.

While there will still be some in a few weeks the major upgrade is done. Do you like it?

I would like to know if the text is readable enough.

I feel it is in keeping with the X-Files theme. It may be a bit harder on the eyes to read. Let me know in a comment to this post if you like it. If readers do not like it or find it hard to read, I'll go back to a font that is better for reading.

You can now also get up dates of the site by email.

It is handled through Feedburner. Or, just subscribe for your RSS reader.

It has been fun reading through the episodes of the X-Files already posted.

I had some things to clean up in the posts. There were so many good episodes just in the first season.

I'm looking forward to the rest of the X-Files!
