The X-Files Season One DVD Three : Fallen Angel

Season One DVD Three

Fallen Angel

The setting is a forest in Townsend Wisconsin.

Deputy Wright has spotted a fire but his radio is not working.

At an Air Force Base an “unknown bogey” has been picked up on radar. The head of the base states it was an instrument failure and then makes a phone call.

Meanwhile, Deputy Wright is investigating the fire.

He first hears and then sees something in the forest with him. He is then hit with bright light.

Deep Throat, Mulder’s contact from inside the conspiracy, tell him that the chemical spill in Townsend, Wisconsin is just a cover up for a downed UFO.

Mulder must act quickly before they clean up the evidence.

Mulder sneaks into the military quarantine. He witnesses men in chemical suits spraying the area around what looks like a UFO. He is caught by the military and they destroy his film of the crash site.

In the holding cell, Mulder meets Max Fenig, a UFO believer.

He is a member of NICAP, the National Investigative Committee of Arial Phenomena. He too thinks the military is covering up something.

Mulder awakes in the morning with Scully coming in to pick him up. Scully tells Mulder he is in a lot of trouble. She tell him the military told her it was a downed Libyan jet with a nuclear warhead. Mulder does not believe the story.

This episode has some cool effects with an invisible alien. Too bad this DVD does not have the footage of the making of the episode. The footage is on the last DVD for season one.

As Mulder and Scully return to the hotel, they find it messed up.

Max Fenig had been checking to see if it was really Mulder. They catch him.

Fenig takes them to his trailer outside. He has taped a radio transmission of Deputy Wright and from the Fire Department a bit later. While there, Scully has noticed that Fenig had some prescription medicine in the trailer.

Deputy Wright had died and they interview his wife.

She has been threatened not to talk or she will lose her husband’s pension.

Mulder believes Max may be an alien abductee.

Max has not memory of abduction and has epileptic seizures. Mulder begins to think that Max may be the reason the alien was there.

Another good episode of the X-Files. There are real life claims of a UFO sighting in Townsend, Wisconsin.

It was in 1982.
